I was born and raised on a mountain top in the Blue Ridge Mountains of central Virginia. During my formative years I filled my days with plenty of time outdoors, music, and books. This outdoor time was mostly spent hiking in the woods, mountain biking, exercising, and playing basketball. I moved to Cape May, NJ at 16 and finished out high school there while getting in as much beach time as possible.
As an adult I have gained a Bachelors degree in Athletic Training from Montclair State University followed by a Masters in Exercise Science (concentration in Cardiac Rehab) from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. I’ve also become certified as a Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and most recently I became a Fascial Stretch Therapist through the Stretch to Win Institute in 2017.
Over the last three years of practice as a Fascial Stretch Therapist I’ve advanced to the pinnacle of the practice as a certified Level 3 Medical FST. I feel humbled with the amount of relief and increased function I’ve brought about in those I’m fortunate enough to work with.
My professional experience includes exposure to populations of all levels. These levels include professional sports with the New York Giants, Division 1 and 3 college athletes, youth sports, high school athletics, as well as the elderly in a hospital setting. I find the work of helping the injured and deconditioned heal to be some of the most rewarding work. The human body is an absolute marvel to me and I find being in touch with your physical self and acknowledging the vibrant energy in our bodies to be the greatest blessing.
My goal is to help individuals get more out of their lives and bodies. This will be done through body work as well as by educating clients on how to take care of themselves to become self sufficient in managing musculoskeletal injuries and pains.
